Is it true that horse shampoo makes hair grow long?

Someone told me that if you use horse shampoo on you hair it will grow very fast. He said his hair was you know the normal guy length hair and he used horse shampoo at camp b/c he ran out of shampoo. So someone told him to use some of the horse shampoo from the stables, and he warned him that his hair would grow fast if he used it. So he used it and his hair was down to his shoulders by the end of the summer. Is this reall possible? If so, where can I get some?!Any comments on this?Is it true that horse shampoo makes hair grow long?
Well... I just looked up your question on Google and the facts don't lie... Yes, Horse shampoo does make your hair grow faster... surprisingly. But it changes the color of DYED hair. You can get it at Walmart or Walgreen's. There's one called Mane N' Tail.

Hope that helped

Maybe it has some sort of minerals or protiens that make your glands on your hair or whatever act more or whatever.

But there's really nothing to ACTUALLY make your hair grow any faster accept for certain vitamins, proteins, etc.And that shampoo may have some of it in it.
That's what I heard so I tried Main and tail but it left this horrible waxy feel to my hair. And I rinsed, and rinsed, and rinsed. There was still a waxy feel to my hair. So I will just use biotin and hope that works.
Ive read alot on this subject and alot of people have said that mane' n' tale makes your hair grow well good and that is a horse shampoo. So maybe it does.

You should be able to get it from any pet shop.
It works for my hair, but I didn't like the smell or the feeling so I switched to Pantene Beautiful Lengths works great and smells amazing =)
Yes indeedy that is 100 percdent true.
no it acually does the opposite...
People will do anything to make their hair grow back and nothing will
Well my aunt used it and she has really nice long thick hair, so maybe.
yeah i guess so

but it also varies on different people
maybe there is a reason

it was made for horses.
No, hair grows from the inside out. Certain shampoos or conditioners may protect your hair from the elements and outside damage but it won't make the actual hair grow faster. Your best bet is just to use hair products that work well on your hair. If you have thick, coarse, straight, dry hair like a horse, than horse hair products may indeed work for you. Otherwise it will probably be too goopy and heavy for most human hair. Keep in mind horse hair is THICK and not like the hair of most humans.

If you want your hair to grow faster and healthier, take a hair, skin and nail vitamin. Also eat healthy and get plenty of protein. Eggs, beef salmon and chicken are all good sources. Eggs especially have cysteine, an amino acid the body uses to make hair, skin and fingernails. Do some research on the nutrition part of it, you might find this helps more than shampoos conditioners or potions.

The reason I know this is simple: I've been in 5 car accidents, had multiple injuries and surgeries plus I have lots of tattoos and piercings. My body has had to do a LOT of healing. I've done a lot of research on natural healing because I was tired of taking painkillers. So, I avoided them and did everything as natural as possible.

A funny thing I discovered through all this...When I take lots of supplemets for healing skin and tissue, MY HAIR grows insanely fast also! Bonus! The results seem to be permanent too. I am not taking vitamins now and I have the thickest hair of any guy I know and I'm not losing it. The downside is my FACIAL hair grows fast too so I always have to shave. Fortunately I never had a lot of body hair to begin with, so this hasn't changed! I just use whatever shampoo is around and I rarely use conditioner.

I really believe that companies make millions of dollar selling stupid, useless hair products that don't work. Women waste a lot of money on it too! I've had gf's who spend tons of money on products and still have broken, fried hair! Meanwhile, I buy whatever is cheap and my hair is healthy. I personally don't think horse products are any better than human ones, if anything it's probably worse! Think about it....horse shampoo is made to wash off animals that will roll in their own poop! Most humans (most, I add) I know don't need this strong of a shampoo to get clean!

If your body isn't healthy, your hair probably won't be either! Look at most healthy people....guys and girls....most of them have HEALTHY HAIR! Unless they have dyed or overstyled it healthy people usually have healthy hair. So save your money and save the horse shampoo for the horses! If it works for your hair, fine. If not, you are most likely better off with a good human shampoo and a healthier diet! Best of luck, I hope this helps!
