Can i use this without applying the Chi shampoo, i didn't buy the shampoo and after all the negative reviews i really don't want to waste the money... and i also was wondering if the CHI Infra Treatment Thermal Protective Treatment can be used only once a week for treaments?? Yes you can use the protective treatment without the shampoo. The protective treatment is just that. It does not matter which product you use to shampoo or condition first. (Using a clarifying product once a week is a good idea tho, to help everything else work most efficiently.) Your shampoo, conditioner and all other products do not need to all be from the same line. All that matters is that you are using the right products for your hair type.
Also, it is a good idea to use the CHI silk infusion. I use it on my wet hair, then right before I straighten it, and a tiny bit when I am finished. It is really great for your hair. It helps to protect it from heat styling and it leaves your hair shiny, not greasy, and smells great.
