When using shampoo and conditioner, should I use equal amounts of each?

And how often should I wash my hair? When using shampoo and conditioner, should I use equal amounts of each?
You'll want to use more conditioner than shampoo. Shampoo expands and froths while conditioner just sits there. Make sure to put more on the ends than the root. Happy Cleansing! When using shampoo and conditioner, should I use equal amounts of each?
Depends, depends, depends.

If your hair is dry:

Less shampoo more conditioner; Wash every other day.

If your hair is oily:

More shampoo, condition the ends only, wash every morning.

If your hair is coarse/thick/long:

Wash every 3-4 days (you can get away with it) moderate shampoo use, heavy on the conditioner (leave-in if you must)

If your hair is thin or short:

Shampoo frequently, condition lightly, don't skip days...

Did I miss anything???
well, it depends on your hair texture. i mean, i have seriously curly hair, so when i take a shower, i put a palm-full of shampoo, scrub, rinse, then repeat. i put conditioner in last, and when i do it i put probably a handful and a half. i rinse it out well, and i add some leave in conditioner.

you should deffidently take a shower everyday. [aha.] but i wash my hair every other day, unless i like go to volleyball practice or whatever. because its all sweaty and icky. but you shouldn't constantly wash your hair everyday, because it will make it flat.

but make sure you DO wash it everyother day, because its gross if you don't

Yes/No, you should use more or less of the conditioner. It you hair is dry use more, if your hair is oily then use less and the same if your hair is normal. Same on how often you should wash your hair, but wash if less if dry and more if oily. On normal hair I would wash it 2 to 7 days a week, depends on how long your hair is. If long you should only wash it 2 to 4 days and for short hair you should 5 to 7 days. Hope this helps. My hair is very dry and I wash it 2 to 3 times a week, because it is long.
Depends on the length of your hair but I would say you probably dont need as much shampoo to wash your hair. Shampoo's can be drying. Conditioning is good for your hair especially if you blow dry/curl it/dye it. The naturals oil in your hair are good so you dont have to wash your hair daily.

Here are a couple recommendations if you do wash your hair daily:

Carol's Daughter Tui Herbal Shampoo (normal hair)

Bliss Lemon + Sage Supershine Shampoo (normal hair)

Jonathan Products Shampoo Add Moisture Moisturizing Shampoo (Dry hair)

Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Herbal Shampoo (Dry hair)
yes and I dont care what other ppl say blondes need conditioner!! And use alot of both!!
Um, you should use a little bit more conditioner depending on if your hair is tangely. But if not, yeah, you should use equal amounts. You should probably wash your hair like everyday or every other.
How often you wash your hair is up to you. Whenever your hair is greasy or dirty is good. While clean hair feels great, slightly 'dirty' hair is easier to style, so every other day or 3-4 times a weeks should be good.

I would say that you should use more shampoo than conditioner, because you just put conditioner on the ends of your hair and you massage shampoo into your scalp and the rest of your hair. Be warned: too much conditioner can result in oily hair.

Hope this helps! =)
This really depends on your hair and length type. However that said, thicker long hair you don't have to wash as often cause it doesn't get dirty as quickly as fine hair does. For amounts of shampoos, you want to use a quarter amount , (really depending on hair) if you use too much it hard to rinse out and may cause greasy feeling hair that you need to wash more often the thing you were trying to prevent. You should use less conditioner for that same reason, also that conditioner ';stronger'; and meant to be used less often.
lol um I use more conditioner, my hair is long, shampoo spread better than conditioner so I dont have to use as much, as for how often it depends on your hair type i persdonally have to wash it everyday
