Is it true that using a different shampoo than conditioner is bad for your hair?

cuz sometimes i use catwalk curls rock with head and shoulders or brilliant brunette. i heard using different brands for shampoo and conditioner is bad for your hair. is that true? if it is, what bad happens to your hair?Is it true that using a different shampoo than conditioner is bad for your hair?
It won't hurt anything. Hair products are basically the same anyway, so don't feel like you have to buy the most expensive product on the shelf, either. If you have to buy a salon product shampoo, but don't always use a conditioner, esp if your hair doesn't need conditioning every day, just buy one off the rack, so to speak. There are a lot of decent ones out there.

One thing you do want to do is switch shampoos every two weeks. Just use a different kind of shampoo for a couple of days--it will help. Is it true that using a different shampoo than conditioner is bad for your hair?
I don't think it's a problem. I use Frutise color shield shampoo and some kind of herbal conditioner from a different brand. My hair always brushes straight and bounces into it's wavy mess. If you like what you're using then just stick with it. It doesn't always matter.
It's not a problem. I do it all the time and have very healthy hair. The only thing to be careful about is that sometimes the different scents 'clash' with each other - a good rinsing (after the shampooing especially) helps reduce this issue.
no but it is illegal in 6 states to do that. check to make sure that you dont live in one of these states, and youll be ok
